The Tobermory Food Bank serves those in the community who experience occasional or ongoing food insecurity. Food insecurity can be described as not having enough money to purchase healthy food, on a consistent basis. In Ontario, 594,000 households experience food insecurity and some of these households are in the municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula. Food insecurity can happen to anyone – people on social assistance, people with disabilities, seniors or anyone who can only obtain seasonal work.
The Tobermory Food Bank is staffed entirely by volunteers and receives generous community support in the form of food and cash donations from individuals, our local churches and organizations such as the United Way Bruce Grey.

The Tobermory Food Bank is open for walk-in service every Tuesday afternoon, between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. and serves residents living in the municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula (from Miller Lake to Tobermory).
