It is time to sign up for Christmas Hampers at Tobermory Food Bank and for Toy/Gift distribution for those 16 and under. As in the past years the Tobermory Food Bank will be distributing the Toys/Gifts collected by the Northern Bruce Fire and Emergency Services. You can sign up for both at The Tobermory Food Bank during regular operating hours (Tuesdays 1-3 p.m.) or connect with us here. When signing up for Toys/Gifts for children 16 years and younger you need to provide gender and age. Please know that identities are held in strictest confidence. Once again, the North Bruce Peninsula Fire Services will be collecting Toys/Gifts and monies to ensure all youngsters have a happy Christmas.
This year again with increased living costs many find themselves in a difficult financial situation that makes it difficult to put together a Christmas meal or provide toys/gits for their children. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the Tobermory Food Bank to be put on either list or both of the lists. Please register for toys/gifts by Friday December 13th and Christmas Hampers by December 17th .
If you know of someone in that situation and perhaps hesitant to come forward to receive this assistance, please encourage them to contact us, we are here to help.
Another important date is coming up. The Stuff The Cruiser food drive event is on Saturday December 7th from 9:00 a.m until approximately 3 p.m. OPP Auxiliary Officers will be outside of Peacock’s Foodland in Tobermory waiting with the Cruiser to receive donations for the Tobermory Food Bank.
Please contact us if you have any questions about the sign up lists or anything about the Food Bank.
