“Stuff The Cruiser” Fundraiser August 17th at Peacock’s Foodland

A big thank you to the OPP AUXILIARY SERVICE for planning a “Stuff the Cruiser” event this summer. OPP Auxiliary Staff Sergeant Tom Buckley has once again arranged to have OPP auxiliary members outside of Peacock’s Foodland in Tobermory on Saturday August 17th from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to collect donations for the Tobermory Food Bank. Last year this event made a huge difference in the amount of items on our shelves at a time of the year we our shelves tend to be more empty.

Sergeant Tom Buckley has arranged these events in aid of local Food Banks for many years now. Recently he was given the Grey Bruce OPP 2023 Accolade Award recognizing his years of service in the Auxiliary OPP. The Tobermory Food Bank wishes to congratulate Tom and thank him for all he has done in the service of the OPP and his community.

As in recent summers, the Tobermory Food Bank has stayed open all summer and the number of clients stays consistent throughout the year. We could not continue our work assisting those most in need in our community without the generous donations we receive.

Please mark Saturday August 17th on your calendars for the “Stuff the Cruiser” event. Lists will be available with some of the most needed items to guide you if you wish to donate.
